Darren C. Dan Fennell: Born and raised in Yonkers, NY, Dan can find inspiration for his work in anything and everything. In his free time, he enjoys cooking and playing his guitar, and he is also an avid record collector. He has been an editor and reader for The Underground Literary Journal. 

 

Hebatullah Issa: Hebatullah is a Palestinian-Arab-American-Muslim-Israeli who writes about her experiences of multi-layered identity in the form of fiction and non-fiction. Grappling with issues of identity acts as the anchor of most of her work, as does socio-political awareness and anthropological storytelling. She has a Bachelor’s degree in Journalism, as well as two Master’s degrees, one in Liberal Studies and the other in Middle Eastern and Islamic Studies. Her work has been featured in The Collegian, AccuWeather.com, and Lamentations-Gaza. She has written two books: a novel, Metaphorical Asthma: The Search for Water and Answers in the Holy Land; and, an academic book about Palestinian hip-hop and identity formation in Israel. She has spent much of her life fighting for human rights, feminism, and education reform. Some of her literary inspirations include, Ghassan Kanafani, Emile Habibi, and Mahmoud Darwish. 

 

Luther Koch: This is Luther’s first publication outside of academics. He lives and has lived most of his life in northwest Ohio. In his opinion, good writing has something to offer everyone. For him, when he wants to learn about something, he writes about it. When he wants clarity, he writes for it. When he is ready to solidify his thoughts, he writes them down. George Carlin, the late, great comedian, and John Kenneth Galbraith, the late, great institutionalist economist, are two of his favorite models for writing well and for improving his craft.

Junior McLean: Originally from the Bronx, NY, Junior has also lived in Anderson, Indiana. His interest in digital art and graphic design began in 1996, and he is completely self-taught. While he is not creating, he runs a small freelance business and is working to get his name and art out into the world. His work has been featured in Cactus Rain Publishing, Sams Dot Publishing, Winged Halo Productions, FW Publishing, Digital Divine Revolution, Peg Leg Publishing, HP Publicity, AKW Books and Fideli Publishing. 

 

Zoey Miller: Zoey is a charmer and a scamp. His creative influences are J.D. Salinger, Jack Kerouac, Charles Bukowski, Noam Chomsky, Nas, Kendrick Lamar, and most forms of whiskey. Born in Columbus, OH, and currently residing in the northern suburb of Westerville, OH, he not so silently wages war on sobriety and all things mundane. This is his first published work.

Ben Nardolilli: Ben currently lives in New York City where he mostly looks for work and sometimes inspiration. Some of his literary influences include Ezra Pound, Ted Berrigan, and Bob Dylan. His work has appeared in Perigee Magazine, Red Fez, Danse Macabre, The 22 Magazine, Quail Bell Magazine, Elimae, fwriction, THEMA, Pear Noir, The Minetta Review, and Yes Poetry. Will Schmitz: Will is a graduate of The University of Hawaii, currently writing science fiction short stories.  A book of his entitled Bots, Come! is to be published by Pagebacon Press, and he has also penned a couple screenplays. When he is not writing, he gardens, reads, takes pictures, draws, and makes postcards. He is influenced by the usual list of fiction-greats, from Joyce back to Homer, the usual poet-greats from Homer up to Jack Spicer and Patrick Kavanagh--the one who penned “Come Dance With Kitty Stobling.” Will currently lives in Los Angeles, CA.

James White: James is a writer and filmmaker living in New York. Originally from Long Island, White’s work has appeared in Huffington Post and PM Magazine. He has been the recipient of several awards, including Amazon.com’s International Short Story Contest, the Lorian Hemingway Short Story Contest, and he has also earned honors from The City College of New York. An avid people watcher, White can often be seen observing the crowds bustling through New York’s streets. History, film noir and British Victorian era literature are just a few of James White’s interests. When he’s not writing fiction, James likes to read fiction, root for the Yankees and spend time with his cat, Harriet.

 

Cerise Zelenetz: Born in Southern Vermont, Cerise is a designer, artist, and writer currently based in New York City. She has studied and lived in both New York and Paris, gathering inspiration from her surroundings. Cerise uses writing to consider ideas of unsubstantiated nostalgia, exploring ways in which commonplace items are able to evoke the strongest emotions, however imagined those bonds may be.
